Harry Flatters
Have any BlatChatters got any experience of installing these on a Freelander 2? For all sorts of reasons, I have ruled out the more permanent remapping route.I have narrowed it down to two; either the RaceChips (Pro or Ultimate) or the TDI-Tuning CRTD4.Both boxes intercept, not only the fuel outputs, but also the turbo.Any experience, comments, suggestions out there? Andy Doughty
I've got a Mondeo 2.2 D with an add on box that I fitted a year ago. Just plug and play onto the fuel pressure rail with 16 position adjustment. I have not had a rolling road session after the fit but it made a really good increase in power and torque. My car started with 200hp and it had turbo lag that was quite annoying (that's how it left the factory) but it did appear to smooth some of the lag out. I think it fools the ecu as it shows an improvement in consumption but I am sure it has improved consumption overall( not that it's relevant as I don't do many miles a year)i paid £125 for it and I think it was worth it.My Son fitted on to his BMW 335D and it was very quick. I only have it set on 12 of 16 as I am a wimp!
