K7 VCT
Any advice and tips from the collective. How can i stop the rattling people have mentioned from the rivets remains in the chassis tubes.. I have the rivets and protectors. Cheers Julian
Wrightpayne
I used a used rivet tail to tap the pip through in the centre to stop the drill running off when it hits the pip. Waxoil in the holes to stop anything rattling.use the correct size imperial drill - 5/32 I think not 4mm!Ian
Mrp
I covered mine with sticky back carbon from amazon and you could not tell the difference. And no rattle Mrp
Jim 123
Lots of Waxoil or any other cavity protector that sets reasonably firm. I found that a basic £5 pump action oil can with a fine nozzle is pretty good for shooting lots of Waxoil into each hole.
old gimmer
I don't understand how you would ever hear a bit of a rivet in a tube in a Caterham.
Wrightpayne
Pur the can of waxoil in a jug of boiling water too.
Drumster
Well, I guess there must be more than a few rivets rattling around inside. Not heard a peep from them in 10 years.
