Tartanbj
HiAny ideas on how to get my dials working again! Car starts and runs fine, hazards work, headlights works, but speedo, rev, temp and oil dials have stopped working! Jonathan Kay
Have you got a wiring diagram and fuse layout? Let me know if you'd like the relevant Assembly Guide and Handbook. Check the fuse. If that's OK then find and check the earth from the instruments.Jonathan
elie boone
If it would be a fuse then one of the rear lights won't work

Jonathan Kay
If it would be a fuse then one of the rear lights won't workI always forget about that, and it's a great pointer if it's present. But on some 7s the fuse for the instruments is separate, eg:Jonathan
elie boone
I thought that the side lights L and R should be on different circuits, if you loose 1 circuit you still have the other ( rear light ) as in my 1996 build manual
Dorset AR
If this is a Sigma check the 7.5 amp fuse that looks after the speedo. The speed sensor can over heat, pop the fuse and the one fuse looks after all the instruments. Disconnect the speed sensor at the plug by the rear right wheel and chuck in a new fuse, if everything comes back to life there's your culprit, time to buy a new sensor and carry out the earthing modification. Dorset AR
A further tell tale is that the hazards will operate but indicators won't. The fuse and relay diagram provided above is useless, it's not relevant to your car and a complete red herring.
