Pierre Gillet
Before replacing my old plastic seat backs by new ones from Caterham/Oxtred Trimming, I envisage to make a mould and some fiberglass spares. Does anyone here have experience in doing that? I figure that I must use plaster bandages to make the mould and then apply gel coat on the plaster mould before applying fiberglass layers impregnated with resin. Am I right question.gif Pierre
Rob Walker
Nope, wax the plastic back, coat with PVA release agent then gel coat then resin and fibre glass mat.
Pierre Gillet
Thanks Rob thumbsup.gif I figure that, in this specific case, I do not need to go through the mould stage. What does PVA exactly stand for? Regards,
