W2TKY
Has anyone fitted a Carbon Dash on a Imperial S3, a 1999 Roadsport. I'm under the impression that you can't get them, has anyone bought a blank and cut it? Cheers. Mark

philwaters
I fitted a RIF one (which doesn't help you much now) but a couple of friends are looking to do the same on similar cars - Ultimate Carbon will do an un-cut blank as will MOG I think. hwills
Slight thread high jack but could you fit a metric dash on an imperial chassis without butchering it too much?
F111C
I bought a Caterham Carbon Dash when they were selling some items on eBay and i tried to fit it to my 1988 chassis and it did not fit, it was fouling the gusset plates on the chassis, but I was in the process of stripping my chassis to get it repaired at Arch Motors so I set about it with an angle grinder to try and make the dashboard fit and I kind of got it near but had to cut a lot out strength out of the dashboard area. I asked Bruce what I could do and he said he could fit what they call a tubular dash on my chassis during the repair so I had that done and the dashboard now fits but I had to offset it one way slightly due to it being short of trim on one side, I do not know why that was but that maybe why Caterham were selling it on eBay in the first place. Silver Machine
My 1997 Super sport has a carbon dash. It was already fitted when I bought the car in 03. It does not have the pointed down bits on the end. It appears to fit round the horizontal tube under the dash. I think it was a standard Caterham part at the time the car was built. rj
Are you sure you want a carbon dash to cut your hands in the event of a crash?
