Dixa1225
Hi All, Got a Stack Professional Oil Pressure Gauge on my 7 . Gauge intermittently stops working . If I disconnect the feed to the back of the gauge & refit , more often then not will start working again. Any ideas ?
Member Jonathan Kay Posted August 28, 2017 Member Share Posted August 28, 2017 Have you got the wiring diagram* and a multimeter? All other instruments OK, even when this happens? Check the instrument earth. Check the wiring and connection at the oil pressure sender.Jonathan* Let me know if you'd like a copy.
RogerB
Dixa,I have just had a similar experience and ended up replacing the electronic gauge and pressure sender with a mechanical gauge connected directly to the pressure sender tapping point. I also took the opportunity to add a low pressure switch and warning lightThink Automotive where very helpfull and provided the whole kit for £125.39.See all the discussions I went through on this frum.Roger.https://www.lotus7.club/forum/techtalk/k-series-oil-pressure-warning-light
