1.8k Hydraulic Tappet size

Short update for anyone finding this thread in future.

The new cam followers are from a MG/Rover OEM supplier. I have been advised that ....."'The length of the tappet itself isn't too important - it's the small piston you can see when looking at it upside down that controls the valve actuation.
The part below this is just a 'skirt' to keep it central in the channel, so isn't critical - the original tappets were superseded by these parts a few years back with the new skirt length. 
The tappet piston to cam lobe length is the important bit - and this is identical to the originals."
