Caterham 7 1.4 K-Series Classic

First registered 6th October 2005 – currently on a private plate, but will go back on a 55 plate

3 owners (incl myself) – the first of which meticulously built the 7 in 2005, before selling her in 2011 to complete a full S1 restoration – a true perfectionist.

Classic colour scheme of unfinished aluminum, British Racing Green wings, Caterham Yellow “lipstick” around the nosecone and matching Caterham Yellow 7 in the grille.

The old school look is complemented by clamshell wings, large chrome headlights, a boot-mounted spare wheel and clear Perspex wind-deflectors in-place of the doors

Hardly “run-in” with just 9750 miles from new, never in the rain and zero track miles. She has been a pampered and polished weekend and fair-weather machine.

5 speed gearbox and absolutely standard in the engine bay, save from a complete set of silicone hoses.

She just flew through the MOT, failing initially on the dreaded split dust cover/gaitor on the Top Wishbone balljoint.  £3 spent at Redline fixed this.  MOT expires 14th August 2018.

Also, she has just had a full oil and filter change, plus new brake fluid so she is ready to hit the road in the next chapter of her life.

Extremely low running costs – 40mpg possible, low insurance and £12.67 per month Road Tax!

Naturally, excellent condition in every way.

A few more particulars :

  • Standard Minilite alloys (no kerbing or scuffs) shod in Avon ZV3 185/60 R14 tyres (5 in total with the unused spare!
  • Caterham embossed leather seats
  • Retro Mota-Lita leather steering wheel
  • Push button start
  • Soft Bits for Sevens full mohair Tonneau cover with pockets for headrests and steering wheel
  • Soft Bits for Sevens mohair Half Hood – never used and still rolled up in the boot
  • Caterham full weather gear (doors, roof, etc) supplied but never used by myself
  • Silver Aero Fuel Filler Cap (lockable) with Caterham engraved logo
  • AutoCom Active Plus intercom installed with Bluetooth connectivity for streaming music to the two supplied, modified Peltor Optime II ear defenders
  • Standard 12V battery isolator for those long winter storage months to save battery drain
  • 12V socket plus 2 USB sockets for charging the ubiquitous devices that we all cannot live without!
  • Map pocket on rear bulkhead
  • Caterham 7 rubber mats
  • Caterham 7 lockable tyre valve dustcaps
  • Original Caterham (Rover) immobiliser
  • Original Caterham Jack and wheel brace
  • A wealth of maintenance documentation – old MOTs, spare parts, service receipts (last full service by James Whiting at 6023 miles in July 2013 – when the silicone hoses were installed)
  • Alternator Regulator just replaced (July 2017 – after Donington 60th!)
  • Naturally, two sets of keys (ignition and filler cap)
  • A box of “bits” is included in the sale in a genuine Caterham cardboard box – these are mainly bits that were required for IVA pass, that were then removed by the previous owners

She genuinely is a beautiful 7 and received many admiring glances and compliments at the Donington 60th.

After 4 years of ownership, it is time for someone else to enjoy her as much as I have.  I have also purchased several “extras” from Soft Bits for Sevens which I have found useful which would be included and available to the new owner if the right price is reached for the sale (Leather Tunnel top and Draft Reducer)

Photos available on request, and she is available for viewings 10 mins from Jcn 4A M3.  Any questions, please ask.

Senisble offers welcomed....SWMBO has plans for the garage space!
