Pierre Gillet
A friend of mine hinted that it must be lubricated (car is a 1997 De Dion, 1,6 K standard engine). Looked at the Caterham maintenance table and could not see this item. Tried a search on the forums and did not find any match. Would appreciate your recommendations Pierre
Pierre Gillet
Seems that nobody very keen to dive under the car with a grease gun... Pierre
allen
Pierre, If modern De Dion 7s have greazse nipples on the propshaft universal joints, regular greasing will be a very good idea and will prolong the life of the joints. Say once every two thousand miles? (make that kiometeres, won't hurt!) Allen
Pierre Gillet
Thanks Allen Humm, it seems that I will have to crawl under the car to see if she has nipples Pierre
Chelspeed
My 1994 propshaft has. Mine get greased every 10,000 miles, first greasing will be in a couple of years....
