Silicone Coolant Hoses on a K

Arnie - Caterham do a hose with a 90 deg elbow specifically to mate to the water pump, then you need approx 500mm of 16mm hose and a joining sleeve to finish the job. Dont think Caterham do the extra bits, but the likes of Tweeks do.

Arnie, I don't think there is a single hose "solution" to your request. You'd have to build it up using a variety of angles and straights. On the other hand, Rally Design do a 7 hose kit for the K series Caterham (and a different 7 hose kit for the dry sumped variant). I am not clear exactly which 7 hoses these are, but theirs is the largest kit (most hoses) I've seen.

Benefits of silicone are mostly to do with maintainability. They do not take a set where they are clamped by fittings, so they are much easier to dismantle. They never seize onto the pipes they are attached to.

This is worth money, in my book, as it means that aftre dismantling you know they are going to go back together gain and seal as perfectly as before. Standard hose bits get unreliable after a few usages and I have never been able to dismantle a standard bypass coolant hose without cutting off the end.

Arnie, go back to the first point - the minimum for what you want is 2 hoses and a 16mm connector. Caterham do one, Samco the other. However the Caterham hoses are not as far as I can tell made by Samco, and differ slightly in colour. Check with Samco because they may do the 90 deg hose specifically for the water pump if you're fussy that the colours match exactly. The connector is positioned approx level with the rear of the block.
