Replacing fuel pipe

I have a copper fuel pipe that exits the central tunnel and to which attaches at this point a flexible pipe leading onto the injector rail. The copper pipe is connected to the flexible pipe by a union. I guess this is the standard arrangement. The nut on the copper pipe has been badly bevelled and the joint is weeping. I assume the copper pipe has a flange on it where it joins the flexible pipe. I know I could just try tightening the nut but I would prefer to replace this as it is so badly bevelled. Is this a matter or replacing the whole pipe and is it easy to remove. I assume it runs the length of the central tunnel. Alternatively will a garage cut the pipe, replace the nut and reflange. Will most garages have the equipment or is it a specialist job?

Provided the pipe isnt actually cracked then the flared end can be cutoff and probably re-flared in-situ, but it has to be unscrewed first and its pretty mangled. Once the flared end is removed the old rounded union can be take off and a new one fitted before re-flaring. A good hydraulics supplier should be able to do it as could any outfit that specialises in fuel systems or air systems. A well equipped auto place might well be able to do the same.
