Blacken
Can anyone tell me if the bulb replacement chart iin the Owners Handbook (which remains unchanged for many years) is still accurate for a modern spec Ford engined S3 car? It is far too hot to check each light in this weather where the car is stored and l need to make sure l have the appropriate spares.
SM25T
I don't think anything would have changed Paul .... unless choosing the LED equivalent.
Member Jonathan Kay Posted June 20, 2017 Member Share Posted June 20, 2017 I haven't heard of any changes or problems and the table looks sensible so I agree with Ian.If I was buying new H4 lamps for the headlights I'd get some that are brighter: lots on this in the archives.Jonathan
Blacken
Thanks guys, l have managed to weed out a lot of unnecessary stuff and fuses as well. Which bulbs do you recommend should be replaced in pairs if one blows? Is it worth carrying a spare relay? There is scant information in the handbook on these. Member Jonathan Kay Posted June 20, 2017 Member Share Posted June 20, 2017 Which bulbs do you recommend should be replaced in pairs if one blows? I'd be happy not to change in pairs, with the possible exception of headlamps where it's disconcerting if they're very different, and other drivers will let you know.Is it worth carrying a spare relay?I don't, but NB the range of approaches to touring...Jonathan
SM25T
If a headlamp bulb fails .... the other is not often far behind ... otherwise I change other bulbs singly.
Blacken
That's what l thought but it is always worth getting info from owners with more experience.
