Steve Pearce
I have a 2005 Roadsport with the Rover Robust Immoibliser. It appears to work ok if I manually set it using the key fob, but it doesn't autoset after the ignition is switched off (no matter how long it is left). Even when setting the immobiliser manually, the indicator light flashing sequence doesn't occur; it just flashes at a regular rate after a few minutes. Is there a simple fix for this, or do I need to get it looked at?Cheers,Steve
Member Jonathan Kay Posted June 17, 2017 Member Share Posted June 17, 2017 I've scanned the notes from the Assembly Guide which include the reset procedure. Let me know if you can't find them in the archives...... but I don't think that mine does "autoset". 1998 1800 K.Jonathan
Steve Pearce
The immobiliser works ok and I've reset it a number of times, but it doesn't "autoset" and the lights don't do what I think they should do. That said, at the end of the day it works, in that it stops the fuel from being fed to the engine; however, it's not "fully functional".Mines an EU3 1.8 X-Power K series should that make any difference.Steve
revilla
The "autoset" is referred to as "passive arming" and it's a configuration setting that can be enabled or disabled with a suitable programmer over OBDII. From memory I think my T300+ clone programmer will do it (and if it does and if you're not a million miles away I'd be happy to help). A local auto locksmith would most likely be able to set it for you.
Steve Pearce
Thanks for that, I know a friend of a friend who is an auto locksmith. I'll have a chat with him.
