Sigma 125 to 140 upgrade query

I've just had my sigma engine upgraded from 125bhp to 140bhp and had a lighter flywheel fitted as part of the upgrade. 

Before the upgrade was done I had plenty of engine braking.  But now, the revs drop off slowly (and stop at 1500rpm unless I blip the throttle after which they drop to about 1000rpm) and there is very little engine braking.  

Has anyone else had this upgrade done and if yes, does your car behave like mine?

Yes, those both sound strange. Here's the thread in which Roger King explained to me why there should be more engine braking... and I still have to work it out every time I think about it.

Doesn't sound right to me, I wonder whether the throttle isn't closing fully as you lift off.

That's what I'm thinking especially given the fact that I have to blip the throttle when coming to a standstill to get the revs to drop to a normal idle speed.
