310 cooling - does modine get plumbed in between T piece and heater

hi All!

building my first caterham - an orange sigma 310 S.

its going pretty well but the manual seems hopeless for the cooling hoses for my particular model.

there is no mention of the two hose connectors that come out of the LH engine behind the oil filter. I think this is an oil cooler called a modine (doesn't seem to be fitted on lower power sigma engines covered in the manual).

does this get plumbed in between the T-piece coming out of LH side of engine (other end going to expansion bottle) and the heater outlet

if that's the case then I don't have enough 5/8th hose or 25mm hose clips!

thanks for your help.

Jake

You're right.  The Modine is the thing around your oil filter base.  The front connector takes a hose from the Modine to the T piece.  The rear connector takes a hose to the top connector on your heater.
