Damper query - are S3 and SV the same?

Hi,

I have a 1998 vintage S3 car with widetrack front suspension and wondered it a set of dampers from a metric chassis SV will fit?

- Are the damper units the same?

- Are the spring rates the same?

I've looked in the relevant sections on the caterham parts website and couldnt find separate parts listed for SV and S3 - either springs or dampers. On the surface of it one size fits all (with the exception of the CSR).

Yes - so long as the S3 is widetrack.

I've researched and disagree that the spring/damper units are a direct swap.

SV has different spring rates - fronts are 170 rather than 150 on the S3.

Also Caterham list a different rear damper for 2003 onwards which I don't know what changes they made?
