Mort
Don't know if this counts as a bug, but every time I post I have to reset the language in the spelling checker to 'British English' - even in the same session. Is there a way to lock the language setting?

Support Team Shaun_E Posted May 25, 2017 Support Team Share Posted May 25, 2017 It works for me :-)Seriously though, I did test this and it's kept my settings OK so I would guess it's a cookies issue for you. No idea what cookie it's stored in though.
SM25T
Mmmmm .... cookies :-)
Mort
Thanks for the feedback. Cookies are enabled between cache clear outs. Would another site's cookies affect the spelling checker on this site? Could it be a profile issue? If zeds (or should that be zees) start appearing in my posts don't blame me. If I figure it out I'll report back. Mort
Can't find anything obvious. Cache deleted, new cookie accepted, trying again.......
Mort
Right then - a few minutes between this post and the last one, and the spell check has gone back to American English. I've tried selecting British English using the option behind 'Languages', and I've also tried selecting British English from the drop down menu in spell checking - both to no avail. In fact it had reverted to American English by the time I re-checked this paragraph.Over to you.
Grandmaster Flatcap
I'll take a random punt. Are you on Windows? If so, have you set the Windows local to UK, and the Windows Keyboard to UK?
Mort
Sorry, I should have said from the outset - iOS 10.3.2 on an iPad. It was exactly the same on previous versions of iOS too. Thanks for the suggestion though.
