Stuart Faulds
Does anyone know what size the front bolts for the radius arms are on a live axle car (I suspect it's the same as a dedion)? It looks like around 9mm to me, but surely that's a bit obscure even for Caterham? Cheers Stuart
Paul McKenzie
2 inch by 3/8 UNF , and make certain you get the min.12.9 high tensile grade....the original spec. were prone to shearing. Paul
Stuart Faulds
Thanks Paul, although 2 inch seems very short - do yours go into a threaded bush in the chassis as opposed to bolting through? Stuart
Paul McKenzie
Yes they do - it's a '96 de-dion Paul
philwaters
My Live car, 1996 flavour, has bolts all the way through, from the inside outward, into a nyloc which is just inside the rear wing... my spreadsheet say 3/8" UNF x 3 1/4" and 25 - 35 lb/ft Phil Waters You mean you can drive these? I thought it was just there to polish 😬
