Cadwell Park - Friday 30th June: the Club's favourite trackday - now able to accept additional bookings!

Our annual Club-exclusive trackday at Cadwell Park is, for many, the most eagerly awaited event in the Club’s entire schedule; it seems to be the trackday that is most remembered and talked about long after the day itself has passed.   We really shouldn't be surprised, as it’s a simply magic circuit to drive in a Seven.

Format:

The Club has, once again, booked exclusive use of the circuit for the whole day.

We will be starting in Sessions (with drivers grouped according to experience and ability) and then progressing to Open Pit Lane (OPL) operation as soon as everyone is comfortable with this.

The event is suitable for drivers of all ability levels – we will be operating our ‘Buddy System’ to provide support to the lesser experienced as well as offering free instruction to all drivers (bookable on the day), irrespective of experience.

The day is subject to a 105dB noise limit (and is therefore classed as 'noisy'), measured statically prior to the start of track activities.

The ESV will also be in attendance, we are hoping to provide a ‘hot-laps’ experience and, as usual, we will be arranging a pre-event social gathering for the evening before the trackday.

Pricing:

The cost for a car and main driver – including the benefits listed above – is great value at £195; an additional driver (who must be a Club member) costs £25 and passengers are charged at £5 each.

Booking:

The event is now open for booking through Sam in the club office via the page that is linked here or by using the Booking Form which will be included in the May edition of Lowflying.

This is one not to miss; experience from recent years suggests that early booking might be very sensible!

Had a fantastic day so thanks to the organisers for their hard work in making the event happen.

IMHO the sessions worked really well and made sure there was plenty of space on track. It was good to have the lunch time briefing and vote on the afternoon format options, democracy in action.
