David Mirylees
Is the 'Dirt Plate' required (the thin metal plate that sits between the engine block and the bell housing)?I had one on my crossflow but have never used one when I went Zetec. Just wondering as I've just remembered about it.david
Drumster
No idea if it is necessary but when I went Zetec I simply thought if the x/flow had one there must have been a reason so I just made one up for the Zetec,
revilla
Is that to cover the otherwise exposed portions of flywheel? If so, the K Series engines don't have them. Just exposed flywheel both sides, which has always slightly bothered my but not caused any problems.
David Mirylees
Spoke to Burton today and they reckon that: As they don't have such an item for the Zetec, then they don't believe that one is required.TBH there are no gaps - at least when using the Raceline sump.dsm
