griffchris
A couple of queries before embarking on the above:The existing copper brakes lines are riveted to the de-dion tube, does one just drill out the rivets, and re-rivet some P-clips in place to hold the flexible lines? Can this be done from above by removing the boot floor, or does this need the de-dion to be removed?ThanksChris
SM25T
Remove the floor ... Not the deDion. Mind the flexibles don't contact anything that moves.
John Vine
Yes, drill out the existing rivets and then re-rivet with plastic P-clips.And yes, as Ian says, remove the boot floor for easy access. Do you have Watts links? If so, you might want to add some protective rubber tubing on the flex lines where they go round the back of the bellcrank. Or, alternatively, use some 45-deg elbows to produce a better route. Discussed here.JV
