ECR
Is there a legal requirement to fit a reversing light? I know that if one is fitted it must work, but .... Is it necessary to fit 2 fog lights? i know there is a minimum height but is there a maximum? If I only fit one must it be central/biased right/left? DJ.
You definitely only need one foglight. I have heard you don't need the reverse light, but not 100%.
simon_h
I believe you dont need a reverse for MOT but you must for IVA.Single fog is fine, central or biased RHS in UK.
Jonathan Kay
MOT documentation, including the manuals, notices and testing guide. Is that what you're pondering? But the legal requirements are contained in the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations. It's good to have them online and they're surprisingly readable but I find it hard to know that I'm looking at the current version. (It would be a great knowledge management project to sort them by topic.)Jonathan
