race throttle stop

Buda

Recommended Posts

The footwell vertical bit is very thin aluminium. I'd be surprised if it's thick enough or strong enough to support the weight of the stop itself let alone any pressure from a manically nailed full open throttle. So yes you will need big penny washers and stuff to spread the load over as much of the ally panel as possible.

Buda,

You're right I haven't - I must be a slow old fart then ☹️

How did you manage to break yours? - didn't think you went much over 30 mph cos your Marlboro lights go out 😬 😬

Good to hear from you again Al

Buda,

They should have included the nuts you require to fix this in place. some big washers would also be a good idea.

Phil - he has too much lead in his right foot *tongue*

I have purchased these as a precaution (peace of mind). They are only £2.50 each. P/n are as follows:

74128 Throttle Pedal Stop - Race (8mm Stud)

74129 Clutch Pedal Stop - Race (6mm Stud)
