Julian H
Appreciate recommendations of companies that offer injector cleaning/servicing. Mine quite clearly need some TLC based on fitting some loaners [same spec] yesterday and the car being transformed into an Exocet missile in 10 mins Thx
Member Jonathan Kay Posted March 27, 2017 Member Share Posted March 27, 2017 There are some discussions in the archives. Apparently local Bosch agents can do this.Jonathan

Julian H
Thanks for the suggestions. I eventually found someone close to me, Abbey Motorsport in Oxted. Thanks to NIFTY, they are going to be dropped off on Monday for 24hr turnaround, they stock all the parts, just in case. I was going to use SBD but getting them there was going to be a PITA. Rob Walker
The going rate for injector servicing is around £60 for the 4. You can buy an ultrasonic cleaning bath on ebay for £40 and some white spirit, I now use one. To test the flow is even you need 4 plastic measuring cylinders , point the injectors into the cyclinders and run for a minute and check they all flow the same. The measuring cylinders are £2 each of ebay.
Julian H
HiMy injectors went for service today. Apparently they all flowed well and the same but 2 had an incorrect spray pattern. Would that make a lot of difference?
JNC
Different spray pattern would result in different combustion ! An atomised spray will combust better that a squirt .
Julian H
I think 2 were little squirts!
Bottrill
Just out of interest, what sort of mileage has the car done? (Assuming they are the original injectors/engine)Lee
Julian H
Sorry bought secondhand. Refitted last night, no test drive yet. Idles very nice.
prangerman
Julian - Good news. I hope it solves your problem. I've sometimes wondered about having mine serviced but you've ruined the usefulness of this thread by buying secondhand ;) Peter
