Jonathan Kay
Thanks x2.I just don't understand what I screwed up in the thermostat thread...JonathanPS: That comment reminds me of a heartstopping moment. I was giving a lecture on patient identification and showed an old-fashioned handwritten wristband in place with ink that had run so that the crucial information was indecipherable. A voice came from the back "That's my wrist!". Visions of disbarment passed before me. I peered into the dark and recognised a buddy pathologist from Leeds who had just had his second bone marrow transplant and had sent me the photo to illustrate the problem. Stridey
On the subject of wristbands, on Monday the hospital put identification tags on both arms AND allergy alert bands on both arms.I looked like an escapee from Glastonbury.I asked if it was in case they chopped one of my arms off by accident. Jonathan Kay
:-)One of the battles we had was with anaesthetists who cut off bands as soon as they could in case they needed access. The stories I could tell about barcodes...Jonathan
