Obviously an FIA bar is preferable, but a standard bar would be better than non, as the full cage has to come off soon. If anyone wants to swap an FIA bar for a cage, that would be perfect. Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted March 19, 2017 Area Representative Share Posted March 19, 2017 Paul, you probably know this but 2001 was the year Caterham Cars swopped from the "drinking straw" roll over bar to the present unbraced "road" bar.Yes, of course you want an FIA bar from someone putting a cage on instead but if you end up compromising, make sure what you get fits.
