FIA roll over bar fitting

I spent a chilly afternoon getting the FIA bar fitted. The question I have:

The bolts that go in from below, to my mind they should have a washer, but they're especially slim heads on the bolts, I guess to clear the damper, so I'm assuming not.

Washer or no washer, what's the line?

Slim head bolts, so I'm thinking older imperial chassis? Anyway defo no washer. Hope you used copaslip in case you need to remove. Also worth getting an old socket (can't remember the size) and grind off the chamfer so that it 'bites' well and you'll not round of the edges.
