Ian Trickett
Last year I was on Yokohama Advan A048 195/60R14 86H M on the road and track. I now have an extra set of wheels for the track so looking for a good road tyre wet/dry conditions, 14 inch. Can any member steer me in the right direction (no pun intended) RegardsIan
K7 VCT
Try Nankang ns2r but in the street compound, not track. Lots of sizes good value to.I was unsure of them, but running 185/60/13 on my 310, only done 600 miles but good so far, provided it's not wintery temperatures, can be a bit easy to light up the rears then.Overall very happy with them. SM25T
14" is a bit of a limiting factor.

DJ.
If you want a set for 14 inch wheels that will cope with really wet weather, Uniroyal Rain Experts are worth considering.
john g
I know the clue is in the title but how are the Uniroyal Rain Experts in the dry?
AndrewB
John, I have the Uniroyal Rain Expert 3's on my car at the moment. The rubber is very soft and I find they stick well in the dry. I also drove through a monsoon in France last year without any twitching or slipping from them. It is worth bearing in mind that my only other experience with tyres on a Caterham were Avon ZV3's. DJ.
I have Rain Experts on my Roadsport 125. I have also used ZV3s and Yokohama a021.The Uniroyals are much better than ZV3s in all conditions. Not surprisingly, the a021s grip better in the dry, but in very wet and cold conditions I prefer the Uniroyals. My current set of Rain Experts have survived two track days and a car limits day with plenty of wear left.
grumpy the 7th
Quoting K7 VCT"Try Nankang ns2r but in the street compound, not track. Lots of sizes good value to."Why the street and not the track compound ?Wear rate certainly isn' a factor on a 7 it's the grip that's important
cj247
I find Toyo Proxy T1 Rs a good wet/dry compromise on the road & also use them for track days. At about £50 each for 185/50 R14 they are good value too.
