Red Line Components Posted January 15, 2017 Share Posted January 15, 2017 My 1981 Big Valve twin cam has been started after about 2 months and is spitting out sooty water and smoke from the rear exit tail pipe. The car has been in a cold sloping garage (nose higher than the tail) Engine started well and sounds good. I suspect that the water is condensation in the pipe and all will return to normal after a short run... Thoughts? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

When an engine is hot, it comes out as water vapour but when the engine and exhaust are cold it will condense out. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
