Mine was fitted by Caterham but the cables look a bit flimsy compared to those on the charger. Are they good enough to charge through? Keeping the battery indoors at the moment but would like to not have the hassle of bolting it back in before using the car every time. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Most traditional trickle chargers should be fine, but "jump starters" and similar might not be.What's the fuse on the factory wiring? I fitted my own: just been out to check and I used a 15A fuse. My battery capacity is 18 Ah* so I could recharge it from flat within a few hours with that current limit.Are you charging the battery while it's inside?Jonathan* Although the manufacturer thinks it's 18A/h.
