ben7
My little battery has given up the ghost, so I need to buy a new one. Any ideas which are the best out there? The one I'm replacing was rated at 30Ahrs and 240 cold cranking amps. According to three garages, this is barely big enough for a Robin Reliant. I'd like to get something with a bit more power, as I rate being able to start the car over the odd extra kilo. Also could the small size/rating of the old battery have something to do with my hot start problems? (I've lagged the manifold pipes, insulated the solenoid and have a heat shield between manifold and the block). The car is a 1.8SS k series. martinwhitcher
Very much doubt it would be the route of the hot starting issues? But replace with simular battery (banner) and purchase a battery conditioner that will keep the battery topped up Martin MW 51 CAT
