Manstein
Do any members know a source or register of qualified damage assessors. A garage local to me has crashed my 7 and I need it professionally assessed for repair as I'm worried there might be frame damage. Thought of ringing Oakmere as well as the IAEA but perhaps an enquiry on here might produce some other pointers. I'm in Cumbria. thanks
twincamtim
Nothing to do with me but what about these - http://www.amber-assessors.co.uk/our-services.asp
TomB
Can you put it on a trailer and bring it down the M6 to Northwich and Oakmere? Or Trackvroad in Clitheroe might be able to help. I think you need someone familiar with these cars to evaluate repair costs. If it needs re-jigging at Arch, panels, spraying and parts it can quickly add up. What does you insurance company suggest? PS there used to be a Caterham specialist in Hexham called Hexham Horseless Carriages' although Caterham isn't mentioned on their website. They might be able to help 'http://www.hhcsportscars.co.uk/
Mark Durrant
The Caterham is a specialist production car so the damage must be assessed by someone familiar with the 7. I would definitely get the car assessed by Oakmere or another Caterham specialist and it is not uncommon for various parts of the chassis to be replaced by Arch returning the car to as good as new. Jim 123
Many OEM approved body repairers for performance cars like Porsche / Merc are required to have laser alignment jigs as a condition of them holding the OEM approval. This type of kit should be able to check chassis members, ditto hub centers for for longitudinal, lateral and vertical symmetry. Perhaps a Google search for Porsche Approved Body Repairers will turn up someone not far from your part of the world?
Area Representative Paul Richards Posted December 16, 2016 Area Representative Share Posted December 16, 2016 Suggest you also consider Kenricks. Very familiar with Caterhams and good reputation for carrying out repairs.
