Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted December 13, 2016 Area Representative Share Posted December 13, 2016 It's bizarre. Embolden one bit of your post and other parts become bold too.See https://www.lotus7.club/forum/chitchat/60-years-seven-tickets-now-available post #22 where part of the quotation is in bold when it was only the word "answer" to which I applied this formatting. It's happened before, more than once, one time I thought it was because I was posting from my Android device and another time I just ignored it.This time I posted from a Win10 machine using up-to-date Firefox.I'm not even sure that it is ALWAYS like that. I have no confidence what the display will look like to other people. But it shows BOLD on my Android device.Urgent? No. Important? Only to an extent, because the whole point about using bold text is to add emphasis and clarity to a post. Random emboldening just misleads other readers, but in the grand scheme of things, there are many items in front of this. (and I don't maintain a list). I'll just use underlining instead, it's not right, just a bodge to get around the failing.

Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted December 16, 2016 Author Area Representative Share Posted December 16, 2016 And HTML tag BOLD doesn't work (when you are not running JavaScript). I'll try emphasis instead
Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted December 16, 2016 Author Area Representative Share Posted December 16, 2016 Which turns out to be italics, hardly emphatic in my opinion. So instead I'll try strong,
Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted December 16, 2016 Author Area Representative Share Posted December 16, 2016 Which turns into bold. None of this allows for the random emphasis which was unwanted in the post I mentioned at the start.
East Sussex AR
The random emboldening happens when using the "quote" facility.Has always been like it
Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted December 16, 2016 Author Area Representative Share Posted December 16, 2016 Re-editing the text under "filtered HTML" showed a "strong" tag which I did not put in. I have now taken it out. It was a quotation, so I put no editing into it. I originally posted with JavaScript running, so the tags did not show. Nor could I disenable the emboldening maybe because the "strong" tag was used.
