monsterchub
Im planning more trackdays next year and have a spare set of 4 6x13" minilite wheels that I need to get different semi-slick tyres for. How much difference will I notice from my normal 6" fronts 8" rears x13" (kumho's ecsta v70a's) driving wise?
7 wonders of the world
Depends on your power output really I'd really only look to go 8" with 205 or 215 on the rear with excess of 200 horses, less and you can affect the balance of the car and the ability to steer with the throttle etc. What wheel / tyre size and power do you currently have? monsterchub
220 bhp 175/60/13 fronts 215/50/13 rearsI was looking to use the spare wheels that i got with the car as an alternative for track days, if not I will buy another 6"/8" combination with different tyres
Ivaan
The trouble is the lack of use and age of trackday tyres. I have a set of slicks and old R888s for trackdays, but both are at least three years old and the new rubber on the car for road use ( R888R ) is far superior.Need to do more trackdays! monsterchub
Right, let me go back to new rubber for my current setup 6" x 13" on fronts 8" x 13" on the rears. Yokohama's A048r's, Avon ZZR A84's or Toyo R888R's SG compound.? Where would I get the best deal price wise? (Mainly track day use) Although I like the Kumho's they are nearly knackered now!
