Al Crickmore
I cant get my car to start from a jump. I'm led to believe that the EU3 ECU needs a lot of juice to start up and might not be getting enough from the donor battery as mine is totally flat. I get fuel because I can hear the pump and I've blipped the Immobiliser a thousand times. On top of that the starter seems to work fine, it turns over but just doesn't fire. Super_Rich_Bernie
I needed to run up the car with the donor battery (assuming yours is fitted to another car and not a spare) with the alternator spinning on the donor and some decent heavy duty jumps it started. (Caterham battery was duff). Cheap jump leads could be an issue too. Jonathan
F355GTS
Might be worth checking the ECU fuse Mark
Mark Piper
That's a bloody good point - I tried jumping my car for ages once - ECU fuse had blown - swopped it for 30 amp fuse after that and it was OK.
Al Crickmore
Ahh. We might have a result here. I'll try that tonight. Keep them coming though as I need this thing working by Tuesday! Cheers chaps.
F355GTS
Could also try an ECU reset, don't know the exact procedure but it's something like switch ignition on and pump throttle 4 or 5 times Mark
ChrisC
Get a battery conditioner from Airflow, it will cost you less that the price of a new battery, and it will solve all your battery problems (provided you remember to connect it that is) Chris.... H15 SVN Get it !
