Lotus Weber Identification Number help

Hello,I have a set of Weber 40 DCOE 2 Carbs and was told they are originally off a Lotus Seven.The Tipo is 40 DCOE 2 and under that is NO 3D.Does anyone know if these are correct for the Lotus Seven.I have listed them on E-Bay Item # 2403672010 .If anyone can verify this please E-Mail me at saint@cablelan.net Thx Wayne

Wayne, the D.C.O.E. 2 designation is correct for a Lotus 7 series 2, with Cosworth engine, (Ford 109E, S.C.C.A) the series 2 was introduced in June 1960, and the Weber fuelled Cosworth motor was first used in mid 1961. as for the NO 3D, sorry I can't help there, but there are many knowlegeable people on this forum who may shine a light on it, regards Nigel.
