Wrightpayne
Looks like the wiper intermittent timer. Any ref numbers on the box?Ian
Delbert
Nope , a sealed box with all those wires !cannot find a piccy on the spares website either
revilla
That was my first thought but it's got too many wires. The delay unit has just five pins on each of its two connectors. This unit seems to have a third connector too.
Jonathan Kay
Immobiliser/ electronic lock?Is it from a 7?Jonathan
Dr Slotter
I'm going to guess that it is a box that is occasionally connected between the main harness and the tacho for the purposes of 'optimising' the signal when somewhere near a noise meter... Delbert
Well it came in a bag of bits with FiFi so I guess it is seven based
pugwash
If it was nothing to do with a 7 I would have said it was a harness for a head unit (radio cd). One set of wires goes off to at least 4 speakers and the other contains power, switched power, earth, electric aerial feed, lighting feed for dimming display etc. The third bigger black connector is the aerial lead. The black box is a multi pin connector that slots in the back of the head unit. But if it's off a 7 then no idea!
Simon.Rogers
Is it not the immobiliser - not seen one out of the car but looks similar to what I feel u see the dash on the SV when you have to wave the immobiliser fob in close proximity to the coil of wires. Delbert
Seems logical as it has velcro on it so no value as I do not have the key !
Dr Slotter
Makes sense. Other to the tacho, the other main connector like that its the link to the engine loom.
