Caterham Sigma 140 Supersport Spark Plug Gap_Torque

Recommended Posts

Car is a 2013 140 Supersport

Just changed my spark plug.  Replaced the original FOMOCO Plugs AYFS22CB with NGK TR5B-13.

Lots of conflicting advice on the net of spark plug gap is it 1mm 1.2mm or 1.3mm?

Also what do you torque them up to?  11Ibs Ft?

What engine doe it relate to?  Ford Focus/Fiesta Zetec VT?

Any advice grateful.

Thanks

If you do a bit of digging in the archive you will find the Ford spec changed from 1.0 to 1.3 mm gap. This seems fine in Fiestas and Focuses, but Sevens started to run poorly.  I think it happened when the original part number was superseded.  You might want to re gap to 1.0mm
