Mucus72
I never get spotted, so the competition is on. This weekend. Where's Wally? You are on the lookout for a white with blue striped SV ;) winner receives a virtual high five...
nigelpugh
In might be out and about too Marcus, perhaps we should try and meet up so we can at least give each other a spotted, no one ever spots me either!
Leadership Team Toughie Posted October 6, 2016 Leadership Team Share Posted October 6, 2016 Nor me.Though as I look over the number of 'Spotted' posts with zero replies, it looks as though most owners don't know they've been spotted by 'one of us'. revilla
What time are you leaving? I could.pop round the corner and sit at the end of your drive for a sure win!
ballisticsupersport
I suppose living in close proximity to Caterham Cars means that us southern softies in Kent and Sussex are going to get spotted more as presumably there are more cars around and thus club members to be spotted by.One solution - drive your car more! Mucus72
Interesting assumption. Would be cool to see regional distribution of ownership data. Anyway, back to the spotting. Nigel, I'm heading north and a bit east from Leics, so no chance of a mutual appreciation spotted society forming ;)
nigelpugh
Ok Marcus, no worries!Enjoy your trip out! Will hopefully see you some time in the future for a spotted!
ballisticsupersport
The club will have the data for members by county at least, then taking into account the surface area of each county we would have the number of club 7's per square mile per county. No reason to think that the distribution of non club members is any different to that of club members.I'd be surprised if the highest number is anywhere other than in the home counties due to population density, proximity to Caterham and general affluence. Not sure I can actually be bothered to work it all out though! Ian B
Surprisingly uniform ownership on this map: http://www.communitywalk.com/andy_doughty/lotus__caterham_7s_where_are_you/map/502943(add yourself using username Caterham 7 and pw: blatchat with 7's instead of the T's )
DJ.
Good luck with being spotted I drive a bright yellow stealth Seven, as I managed to drive 2100 miles and visit north, east, west and south coasts of the British Isles in June this year without being noticed by anyone
Mucus72
Haha DJ. Great stealth colour choice!
Mucus72
@ianb thanks for sharing that mapping link. I've just added myself. I agree it's quite an even distribution.
Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted October 6, 2016 Area Representative Share Posted October 6, 2016 I have been spotted, in the 21 and in the 7. Several times in the 21, twice (I think) in the 7. There might have been some spotted posts before I joined the Club (although there was no separate section then). What interests me is whether the large number of members who read but do not post, see the Spotted post and still do not respond or whether those who are spotted are non-members (shock horror).I share the puzzlement about the lack of response to the spotteds as well.On the other hand, in some recent rain, I was using a Club umbrella and lots of people turned and looked at me or the umbrella (the latter is more likely). SO, if you need to be noticed - get a Club umbrella!
Mucus72
Well that was 450 miles over 2 days covering most roads around the north York Moors. Still no spotted! Probably better leaving it all day in Watford Gap services....
Colin Cooper
I thought i was the only one driving a stealth 7, apparently not!I'm also invisible to most barmaids.Col
