robert heywood
has anyone fitted an audi tt engine to there 7 as i have been offered one
Peter T
Rather you than me! The 7 does not respond well to turbo applications due to the fact of heat build up in the engine bay. Also you will have to find someone to cast you a bellhousing to mate onto a rear wheel drive car, not cheap!! There are better engine variants than thyat unit. ☹️ Power Freak member! Big Brother
Don't forget to cost in the extra coil packs 😬 Steve Se7en-Up! Less is more!
cskip
WHY????? Personally I dislike the 1.8T VW Engine. Too many flat spots in 225bhp form. I have a TT and think it is very overrated. Am I in a minority? I am getting rid of the TT. Get a X-Flow its the best seven engine!
chrisb
cskip, I too have the 225 TT, and I agree there are too many flat spots Don't know if yours is the same, but I get (what feels like) wildy varying power outputs. Some days its quick, others its not, and sometimes in 3rd at 5K plus the engine management takes over and the power fades dramatically to 6K Anyhow, my technology free X-Flow will leave the TT standing
ruff seven
I really would not bother with the TT, but you can have the ecu re-mapped.
wag
I went into a showroom to look at a TT. The salesman did not know the weight, but thought it was under a ton. In fact, its nearly 1.5 tons. The Aston Martin Vantage, acknowledged by all concerned to be lardy, is only 300kg heavier.
