Blue_SV
AllJust thinking forward to next weekend and having not been to Wiscombe before, is there camping available at the event? If not, what are the accommodation options available?CheersJon

OliW
Jon,In summary, we camp in the top field and then drive down the hill to the paddock with trailers in the morning.Oli
RogerLegg
Can you leave the car and trailer the night before?
Mark Durrant
RogerYes you can leave your car in its paddock space and the trailer in the top paddock.
Support Team Shaun_E Posted September 5, 2016 Support Team Share Posted September 5, 2016 Just be aware that the camping facilities are basic - there are portaloos but there is no running water in the top paddock (other than what may be falling from the sky).Gill
Simon.Rogers
That may be quite a lot looking at the forecast!Glad my team are bringing its 4 x 4 facilities!
Blue_SV
HummMay opt to drive the 4*4 Volvo rather than the C7 - may not make much difference to my time given more recent outings.... Safe journey to all - see you tomorrow/SaturdayJon
Simon.Rogers
There very well could be a video of someone who seems to have lost something at 26 seconds in to the video.

OliW
Don't worry Rob. When you do find a gear lever, it's just a bag of spanners anyway.Or is that just me?
Area Representative Richard Price Posted September 11, 2016 Area Representative Share Posted September 11, 2016 When you do find a gear lever, it's just a bag of spanners anyway. Or is that just me?No, I found that as well :-(My braking for "Martini" looked good, but I can see in my video that I then tried several times to select reverse rather than first !!!As ever, a great drive from Matt when it mattered. 'quite fitting that he ends the season with a 700 point total
david nelson
Matt's drive yesterday was outstanding. To be quicker than all the high powered sevens with a time of 44.?? was magic.my driver of the day. David

Leadership Team Mcalvert Posted September 11, 2016 Leadership Team Share Posted September 11, 2016 What a brilliant venue and a great weekend. So glad that Wiscombe is still on the calendar. Here's how it looked from behind 8 valves . Quite happy with the run, and especially with the fact that I managed not to get too distracted by the fact that my tonneau tried to make a break for freedom half way up the hill!Equally, I took the car out for a run on the road today and the clutch cable snapped within 1/2 mile. Looks like I was lucky

robmar
bloody cars without proper gear selection devices*curse*having said that i feel one could get used to the paddle shift very easilythanks to Simon for letting me drive his car, although wiscombe wouldn't have been my venue of choice to try it out...the car did feel so much tighter than mine, maybe something to do with mine being 15+ years old nowas others mentioned great to have wiscombe on the calendar what a place... Geoff Corker
What a place. Great venue and even did better than usual, although I am not sure I can forgive those people who leapfrogged me on the last run. All because I was 2 metres too late on the brakes for Sawbench. Can we have more than one event there next year please! However it a was a long journey home after one of the tyres on the trailer disintegrated on the M5.
