Plug Socket Stuck ! Ideas Beer was the answer

I had a loose plug nipped it up but now cant get the socket off the plug ! its wobbly but want come off. I've got a long nose set of pliers on it but they slip off 

Ideas ?

Just an idea but what about putting a finger from a surgical glove over the end of an extension bar and try to get that into the socket so it grips the extension more than it does the plug.

Nick, you may try double sided tape on the pliers for extra grip and next time use duct tape on the socket and extension.

Well I never , I wandered out Beer in hand ( Green Geko IPA from Lidl) and with a little bit of wiggling whilst applying a twist I felt it move a touch , used Elie's tape idea on the pliers and out it came

Turns out the rubber collar in the socket was sticking to the plug but I think it was the beer what did it

It was a k by the way and I had two loose !

Those rubber inserts often grip tighter that the sprung ball on the end of an extension bar. I often place the plug with the rubber bit in place ... then remove it ftom the socket for tightening. A bit of silicone grease on the ceramic part of the plug helps.
