How do I connect my exhaust to the (hidden) front mounting point?

I have the VHPD race exhaust with the 7" silencer (this one - http://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/product.php?id_product=2929). I have not yet drilled the hole to fit the forward exhaust mount bracket, but as my mounting bracket on the catalytic converter has now cracked, I see that I need to support the weight.

The issue is that the 7" silencer has no mounting bracket, so how do you join the two up?

I do have the black support strut/bracket pictured in the kit, but to be honest I have no idea what this is for either? It does not look exhaust related to me.

I certainly intend to, once I have worked out how to connect the exhaust silencer to the bracket and bobbin.

That system is not designed to use a front mount just the rear one and four large primaries. There may be a way to use a front mount but I would be sceptical if it added much strength and may possibly cause problems with heat expansion.
