Jan T
Peter Sorry to be thick but can you clarify what you mean by this? ''Some might consider it a worry gauge, but without an Apollo you don't get to see oil temperature'' I'm off to get me an oil cooler and one way valve as my oil temp on track (with Apollo fitted and on 13'' wheels) is too high for my comfort . Bob Corb
What PC means is that when you fit and appolo tank to a K series you get an oil temperature sensor too. The sensor sits in the side of the new tank and is connected to the water temperature gauge via a flicky switch so that you can see either water of oil temperature. Without the Appollo its hard to fit an oil temp sensor as the only place you can put a sensor (in a tapping under the oil filter) would leave it scraping on the ground! My VVC needs to have two oil temp sensors for the ECU, unfortunately I cant fit both for the above reason. The sensor is strapped to the front of the lower alternator bracket! The ecu doesn't care as long as it doesn't read over 120°C (which it wont in the fresh air). Sorry to but in PC. BC
Jan T
Thanks. Now I understand. I have always had an oil temp sensor because I have always had an Apollo I wasn't aware they were not standard. Jan
