Mine is a mixture of white (speedo, fuel tacho) and green (oil Pressure & temp).Should there be a standard colour, and where would I get coloured bulbs from if for example I decided to go green all round? Member Jonathan Kay Posted August 3, 2016 Member Share Posted August 3, 2016 It's up to you what colour you'd like... but i'd have them all the same.You can pull one (or all) of the bulbs to check the type and power, and they are available from the usual places such as SVC and CBS and specialist bulb sellers.Someone found a source of LED lamps a few months ago... should be in the archives. Drumster Posted August 4, 2016 Share Posted August 4, 2016 On the older cars, mine is a '93, all the VDO instrument lighting AFAIK use clear bulbs hence the white light. The only reason it appears green is that each bulb has green rubber cap over it. I suspect your mixture of colours would suggest that one or more of these caps have perished and fallen off.
