Smithy77
I have just got an aero screen and I'm after the brackets which make it interchangeable between aero and windscreen. Anyone have any lying about?
JonL
Do you really need them? I don't have them and can quickly change between aero and screen. I don't have the knee trim on the passenger side so I can easily get to the bolts and washers on the passenger side, and the drivers side is already cut out. Save yourself the few extra grams and go without (and without the passenger knee trim). Certainly don't wait for them to try out the aero experience. Smithy77
I do have the knee trim panels so they would be the ideal solution. I might take your advice and try it without the brackets too!! Need another helmet to make it a bit more passenger friendly...
JonL
You have to take out the knee panels to fit the brackets anyway. Just whip them out and go aero!
Smithy77
Aero will mainly be for track so I need the quick interchange ability
sjmmarsh
JonLif you have a kill switch then the bracket avoids the risk of shorting a spanner out on the live cable under the scuttle. It only takes a moment to weld one to the chassis!Steve

DJ.
I don't use aeroscreens, but fitted the captive nut channels to make the screen more secure. It certainly made the mirror more steady, so might be worth doing if you plan to use the screen much.
