Jim 123
I'm sure this has been covered before, but my searches have come up blank.I'm awaiting my Reg No from DVLA. I'd appreciate advice on the best method to fix my front and rear number plates. e.g. Bolts, velcro, chewing gum etc. etc.
Jonathan Kay
If I were doing mine again I'd take advantage of the hard-won experience of BlatChat and use very strong Velcro-type stuff.Jonathan
dave_h34
Presently awaiting some 3M Dual Lock for this very purpose, £6/m from eBay. I wanted removable as I'll have a proper plate and a 'show plate' with illegal spacing. ;)
Titanium7
Velcro off fleebay! Never lost a plate yet and no damage to the car.
shn7
Another vote for 3M Dual Lock.Toughest velcro type stuff I've found and kept both plates on my previous car for 8 years without problems whilst keeping the plates removable. One tip: If you do use it then separating the plate form the car is best done by inserting a flat bladed screwdriver between the two parts of the tape to start them separating. If you just pull either the car will follow you or the glue will give up.
john milner
When my front kept falling off I went for No More Nails tape or a very similar product.
Blacken
No More Nails Interior & Exterior tape worked on my front plate. I bought the 19mm x 1.5m roll. The stuff CC used failed on the first windy day.

Mort
No More Nails exterior for me too. Been fine for the last 5 years. A bit more difficult to nick than a plate attached with Velcro I would imagine, but if you plan on removing the plate(s) regularly when on track then Velcro is probably a better option. Jim 123
Thanks everyone for your feedback. Nuts and bolts look like they are certainly not the way to go. I'll give 3M Dual Lock a try on this occasion.
