Alan Archer
Could you chaps kindly tell me what you consider a must have selection of tools to keep in the seven? And anything different when touring compared to normal days? Thanks
Member Jonathan Kay Posted May 31, 2016 Member Share Posted May 31, 2016 Lots of discussion in the archives, but I can't find any of the helpful big lists, so I've resurrected this thread. That includes a link to the Bulk Buy for tool tubes and fitted bags.

Member Jonathan Kay Posted May 31, 2016 Member Share Posted May 31, 2016 I haven't placed the latest order as I'm trying to get (much) lower shipping costs. Please add your request to that thread and they'll be included.Jonathan
Wrightpayne
I carry a stubby set of metric spanners, screwdriver with bit selection, 3/8" ratchet with sockets in the handle (machine mart), pliers, wire stripper/crimper, vise-grip adjustable spanner (again machine mart), LED inspection lamp (£4 halfords), small snapblade knife and combined cork screw / bottle opener .Also carry bulbs, fuses, wire, elec crimp connectors, tie wraps, cleaning rag and tape.Only time I broke down was when the ignition switch failed and I had to make a bypass wire. I didnt have all the spares but others on the track day did, hence I now carry a small selection of crimp connectors and tool. I had the wire on board as also useful for non-electrical repair improvisation. Edited to say I carry a clutch cable and bicycle cheese ended inner cable / cable clamp to repair accelerator cable.RegardsIan
