philwaters
Hi Julian & James - Shouldn't be a problem, I've ordered a couple of spares, and I have a few people who haven't paid (so 1st come 1st served).Payment details on https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16p-26ra06UCO8irbK1Eb7ccyFME4EDek6VhALr7QKZs/edit?usp=sharingIf you can let me know full name, address and Blatchat name so I can tally them up. In the meantime I'll get you on the spreadsheet. Julian - can you also confirm if you want them in black or plain for polishing.Cheers(and sorry, meant to reply earlier, just got distracted as I can't access via my phone very easily)

TomB
How are the orders developing? What's the timeframe for delivery?
philwaters
Hi Jig / Jerry,I've ordered a couple of spares and a few (as expected) haven't paid, so I'm working on a first come, first served basis. So, if you look at the link below, I've added you at the bottom of the list on the un-paid tab. Payment details are on there as well. Payment was upfront as it's a lot to be stuck with if people pledge and then drop out after I've had them made.https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16p-26ra06UCO8irbK1Eb7ccyFME4EDek6VhALr7QKZs/edit?usp=sharingTom,All on order and I'm actually awaiting a call from my supplier with an ETA (he was a little swamped as I ordered nearly 4 times more than we originally discussed!). I've got 75 boxes & some bubble wrap packing material on its way, and I'm just waiting for a call back from Redline regarding a bulk buy of the rubber (but they have confirmed I can buy 100m in one go ). Will post an update once I know a completion date on the actual units.
Garf
Hi Phil - if you still have some spares on the bulk order then I would like a plain pair (to be polished) with rubber trim.Let me know if I'm ok to go on the order list and I'll get the money transfered ASAP.Ta. philwaters
Some bad news I'm afraid. My supplier has been trying to weld up a test pair (that he was then going to send to me for approval) and has found that because the units are so slim, they are distorting like crazy (aluminium soaks up the heat). We changed the construction to try to avoid this and to reduce the rejects we had last time, but it's just moved the issue elsewhere (from the vertical mounting strips to the top surface) So - I'm afraid that the aluminium is out. However - all is not lost. We had a good chat and steel will be more than capable of taking the welding heat. Because it is stronger, we can drop the material thickness down in order to keep the weight down to a similar level. Visually, they will look just the same. For the polished versions, we'll use Stainless steel which will actually give a better polished finish than aluminium anyway. Now, not wanting to end up in court at a trade descriptions hearing - obviously if anyone wants to change their mind, I'll happily return funds, etc. However, I really do feel that they'll look just as good (if not better) for a very slight weight gain - and they'll still be a considerable weight saving over the rubber ones. Sorry everyone - really wishing I'd had a sample made a lot earlier in the process now! On a positive note, I've got the 75 boxes in yesterday, so everything else is ready to rock'n'roll....Phil

philwaters
Hi all, finally, some good news to post about! I popped down (in the 7, of course!) this morning to see my supplier and to approve the sample unit. Very pleased with the outcome, look really good and I am confident everyone will be happy with them. Only done the painted sample so far as was waiting for approval before buying the stainless. http://www.our-nest.co.uk/Temp/Light%20Blocks/Light%20Block%201.jpghttp://www.our-nest.co.uk/Temp/Light%20Blocks/Light%20Block%202.jpghttp://www.our-nest.co.uk/Temp/Light%20Blocks/Light%20Block%203.jpg
