Stridey
My lights went out last evening, dip and full, but the flash switch does illuminate the lights if held down....Flashers work.Ive checked fuses, looked at wiring. No thorough testing yet.Wondering what sort of things I should check now.
Jonathan Kay
Sidelights working normally?I'd probably start with the main light switch. Check either the output voltage on the terminals as you work the switch or the continuity with the feed disconnected.Got the wiring diagram already?Jonathan
Stridey
Side and dip and full not working, only full if I hold down the flash switch.i have wiring diagram...(and tester)ordered new switch anyway. Checking relays.
Jonathan Kay
Relay also strong possibility... I was trying to remember the circuit details to see how flashing with the flasher switch differs from main beam with the main switch...Jonathan
Mort
Clean the spring clips which hold the light switch into the dash. The lights earth through these, via the dash, and if they have a bad contact then your lights won't work. Even disturbing the switch by removing it and then putting it back in may cure the problem.
